Estonia's Green Tiger (Rohetiiger) initiative brought together 300 organisations and experts – including businesses and direct competitors, government, researchers and wider society – to build a shared long-term economic vision and practical roadmaps for achieving it.
The resulting Balanced Economy model connects five major sectors into one direction for 2040. And it is already having an impact: Estonia’s Ministry of Climate has drawn on the roadmaps in shaping the objectives of the Climate-Resilient Economy Act.
This session explores how such broad agreement was achieved, how competing interests were turned into shared commitments, and what other countries can learn from Green Tiger’s bottom-up approach to building consensus and turning a long-term vision into coordinated action.
